As keen coffee drinkers we were thrilled when they got in touch to help build a completely unique coffee subscription page.
Bringing the personality of the brand out was key for St. Martins, to help connect with their customers and keep potential buyers engaged along the purchase journey. Alloneword helped to define and scope the user experience during meetings, and assist in creative ways to guide customers to a custom subscription.
Getting to Know Customers
After configuring the key elements of the subscription, which included using Shopify variants for coffee type, size, and different styles, Alloneword collaborated with St. Martins to refine the concept of a ‘roasters choice’ into a user-friendly interface. The first step was to ask customers about their level of coffee knowledge, followed by a series of slightly abstract questions that helped the roaster pick the right coffee.
All of these questions were built into the Shopify settings, which gave St. Martins complete control over what questions they asked. This ensured that the page remained as fresh as their coffee. Moreover, the difficulty of each question could be set, ensuring that novice coffee drinkers were asked easier questions while more seasoned coffee drinkers were presented with more in-depth ones.
