Having worked with Töastie for a number of years for development improvements and general Shopify support, they decided it was time for a new start with a fresh bespoke design and build, and set us the challenge to design and build an industry leading website for sustainable childrens clothing.

Overview:
Connecting children to nature is at the heart of the Töastie brand. Co-founders Kirstie and Lucinda wanted the new site to encourage a sense of community and value added content within their new Shopify site. Helping to ensure customers get the most out of their garments and really enjoy nature to the full. With key messaging around sustainability, and a tone of voice of calm, serenity, and peace, the new design leans into all things organic, sustainable, and at one with nature.

Bundles of Fun
In addition to the industry standard of features of a fashion ecommerce website, Töastie wanted to create an uncluttered and tactile shopping experience for their rainwear and swimwear bundle offers, helping potential customers compare colours, options, and make a purchase, without getting lost at touch points along the way.
Utilising subtle CSS animations, AJAX code for multi product purchase (therefore keeping stock levels in line with the individual products) and ensuring sizes and availability are clear, the end result is a seamless experience where users can ‘hold up’ garments next to each other, then follow the simple steps to purchase.

With the Töastie story, they’d had years of ‘making do’ with an out of the box themes, and trying to retrofit their unique brand and offering into pre-built systems. We wanted to approach (as we do with all development projects) every area of the development with the love and care it deserved to ensure their products and offering shines as it should.
From the subtle animations of how the mega menu cascades in, to the use of colours for key interface elements as a UI, we were pleased to complete the build to a tight deadline, and to help them be ready for the build up to Christmas.
