Shy Creation is one of the largest and well-known jewellery companies on the West Coast. Based in Los Angeles, Shy Creation came to Alloneword with a view of creating two new Shopify sites for their B2B and B2C clients.
Now having worked closely with Shy Creation since 2019, we’re proud to be able to help maintain and develop further their websites, designing and building new features for B2B customers and sales staff to more quickly process orders, and helping to showcase content on the consumer facing brand website.
Handling Over 10,000 Products Delicatley
The B2B site was required to allow customers to create an account, but also have a workflow that meant that new account requests would be moderated (rather than the standard Shopify account creation and instant access), plus also capture data from the customer such as references, business information and technical information.
Once logged in, and in addition to being able to view the 10,000+ inventory (which we helped define a bulk upload workflow) Shy Creation also wanted to have different customers to have different access, so some would have the ability to use brand collateral such as promotional videos, while others would simply be able to order products, and we worked closely with Shy Creation to create a user-friendly interface that catered to each customer’s unique needs.
The consumer facing site was also created to showcase products and help customers find their nearest store from where in the US they are based and how far they can travel. A wishlist app was also added, configured and styled to help customers save their favourite pieces and use as a reference.
