Peak Edge Hotel
Perched above the historic market town of Chesterfield, Peak Edge is the perfect rural retreat, a little bit like home – but better. Hotel owners Global Brands asked Alloneword to bring new life to their website offering, and help convert customers to book directly, rather than through booking platforms.
Part of our on-going work with Global Brands is supporting them with their main websites, and after the success of our work redesigning their flagship Casa Hotel, we were asked to focus our attention to the Peak Edge Hotel site. Utilising as much code from the Casa project as we could. But with a completely different look and feel, and an entirely different customer base; with the nature loving, rambling and outdoors-type a key demographic.
Bringing the Countryside to the Screen
Nestled in the heart of the Peak District, the brief for Peak Edge Hotel was to feel connected to nature, ooze luxury without seeming too glossy, and ultimately remind users why they’re visiting the Peak District in the first place.
Working with the Global Brands creative team, Alloneword wireframed and created visual mockups of key pages and states, then after moved on to code the website up using the WordPress platform using our system of flexible content sections.
